A pragmatic approach on how to manage EU taxonomy obligations, strategically as well as operationally at A.P. Moller – Maersk

Yet again we had a very rewarding webinar with participants from all over the world, with our guest speaker Frederik Bo Rementorp, Senior ESG Manager, A.P. Moller – Maersk.

CSR Forum and its partners thank Frederik and Maersk for a valuable journey into the engine room regarding their approach to the EU Taxonomy.

We got a greater understanding of A.P. Moller – Maersk’s strategic approach to the EU taxonomy and the company’s methodology on how to scope, measure and implement on an operational level.

The EU taxonomy is a classification system, establishing a list of environmentally sustainable economic activities. This should hopefully play an important role helping the EU scale up sustainable investment and implement the European Green Deal.

The EU taxonomy will provide companies, investors and policymakers with appropriate definitions for which economic activities can be considered environmentally sustainable. In this way, it should create security for investors, protect private investors from greenwashing, help companies to become more climate-friendly, mitigate market fragmentation and help shift investments where they are most needed.

Together with our competent members and partners, we will regularly invite you to free webinars of high professional quality.
